NEW DELHI: A 40-year-old woman working with an NGO has alleged that she was gang-raped by three men in south Delhi. On the basis of the woman’s complaint, one person was arrested on Sunday. In her complaint, the woman said that her neighbour, Raj Narayan, had promised to get her introduced to an influential person on Saturday afternoon. On the way, they stopped at a temple on Lodhi Road where they met Kishor Narang, an employee of the temple. Around 1pm, the three of them took the woman to the house of one doctor Relia (75), claiming he was the influential person.

At Relia’s house in Hauz Khas, the men gave her a spiked drink and she fell unconscious, the woman said. They then took turns to rape her. She also claimed they made a video of the act and threatened to release it if she told anyone about it.

Around 5pm, Narayan and Narang dropped her near the AIIMS Metro station. The woman immediately registered a complaint. Police said the woman had known both Narayan and Narang for the last five years.

In her complaint, the woman also named one Vikas to be involved in the incident and said he had raped her earlier as well. Police said Narang was a cashier at the temple, while Relia and Vikas worked at a medical shop. “We have identified the men and are probing their role,” said a police official.

On Sunday, police arrested Vikas on the basis of her complaint. A case of rape has also been registered.
